Okapi (Okapia johnstoni) – North, East and central Zaire in Africa.  There is a distinct pattern on the lower parts of the body, with varying stripes of black and white.  The males have skin-covered horns.  The females are hornless.

 The Okapi has a long, blackish-purple extendable prehensile tongue that enables them to grab leaves, fruit and buds easily.
