 Serval (Felis serval) – Africa south of the Sahara.  The Serval is tall with very large oval ears and long legs.  When hunting birds, they can leap up 11 or 12 feet to strike their prey.  Their diet also includes reptiles and insects.  The Serval spots on the body, as well as stripes on the shoulders and head and dark rings on the tail.

 The Serval can also climb trees when hunting.  They are usually a solitary animal except in the mating season.
